Holiday Open House and Christmas Parties in apartment buildings?

Would it be OK to host a holiday open house (or a holiday party) in an apartment building? If so, should we notify the landlord/landlady, apt building manager/apt building superintendent, etc.? Any ideas/suggestions for apartment Christmas party or holiday open house?

  1. Sure, no problem, as long as you're not having too many people, and don't let everyone get drunk and rowdy. Look at your lease, read it carefully. Probably don't need to notify anyone. Can be smart to invite your neighbors, and if it's Open House, what do you care, if they wander in? They're less likely to complain if they have notice and an invite-- unless you let your party get really out of hand.

    Christmas is a long way off. . . . .
