When do stores in Chicago typically decorate for Christmas?
My husband and I are planning a trip to chicago and I want to plan it when the Christmas decorations are all up. Does anyone know when this usually takes place. I know they are up after Thanksgiving but wasn't sure if its usually before. Thanks

- wait until after Thanksgiving. Some stores will have decorations up earlier, but the biggest, fanciest stuff (ie, Macy's windows) will be after Thanksgiving.
- a lot of stores have things up now through october but just to be safe and have the best stuff out i'd go after thanksgiving! that way you'll get the best sales and such! good luck!
