Christmas Trip: What city should I go to on the west coast? Help me pick!!?

HELP! I live in Southern California and my husband and I want to get away for a few days during Christmas. We want to travel somewhere on the west coast or somewhere quick that is less than a 3 hour flight from Los Angeles. Some cities we have in mind are: Portland, Seattle, Vancouver, San Diego, Phoenix, Denver, and anywhere else. Please let us know some cool areas and why you think they are great. I have a lot of Hilton points so it has to be somewhere where I can use those points for the hotel stay.

We've been to Las Vegas before. Northern Cali..where abouts? I love San Fran but we were just there in July.
Umm, Cambria sounds great. I have some friends that highly recommend that and going to Hearst Castle.

3. What about Cambria, SanLuis Obispo, MorrowBay Area... (The Central Coast)...You can day trip it up to Carmel, Monterey, BigSur ( a bit colder), but to go back to the beautiful green hills of (the 2nd wine county area) is fabulous..and Yes, you will find a Hilton..All but maybe Cambria-althought not sure..
   
   
   
   It will be a get away like you have been gone month...Quaint 'ol towns to stroll, lights to see, and the day view breathtaking--with no "hussle-n-busssle"
4. I am going to second the motion for Cambria. I have stayed there twice and it is beautiful. Hearst Castle is close and the seafood is terrific. I don't know about flying there. I think you might have to fly to Santa Barbara and rent a car. I don't think farther north is so good at Christmas because of the weather. San Diego would be my other choice. Plenty to do and more good seafood. Should be nice weather too.
