Village Break

I have a light socket stuck in one of my christmas village house decorations that lights up, how to fix?

This is one of those decorations that has the village with the cotton that the figures and houses sit on.

1. if you're saying the glass part broke off and a socket is still screwed into the fixture, you can get it out with a piece of potato. just be careful, and jam the potato into the socket, then unscrew it.
2. If the potato doesn't work, you could try using a small pair of needle nose pliers to grab the side of the base. What ever method you choose, be sure to disconnect the power source.
3. Unplug the fixture, then use the needle nose pliers by putting them in the socket, spreading them open against the sides and twisting as you would if the glass was there.
